I don't want you
To give it all up
And leave your own life collecting dust
And I don't want you to feel sorry for me
You never gave us a chance to be
And I don't need you
To be by my side
To tell me that everything's alright
I just wanted you
To tell me the truth
You know I'd do that for you
So why are you running away?
Why are you running away?
I did enough
To show you that I
Was willing to give and sacrifice
And I was the one who was lifting you up
When you thought your life had, had enough
And when I get close
You turn away
There's nothing that I can do or say
So now I need you
To tell me the truth
You know I'd do that for you
So why are you running away?
Why are you running away?
Is it me?
Is it you?
Nothing thatI can do
To make you change your mind.....
To give it all up
And leave your own life collecting dust
And I don't want you to feel sorry for me
You never gave us a chance to be
And I don't need you
To be by my side
To tell me that everything's alright
I just wanted you
To tell me the truth

I get along without you very well,
Of course I do,
Except when soft rains fall
And drip from leaves, then I recall
The thrill of being sheltered in your arms.
Of course, I do,
But I get along without you very well.
I've forgotten you just like I should,
Of course I have,Except to hear your name,
Or someone's laugh that is the same,
But I've forgotten you just like I should.
What a guy, what a fool am I,
To think my breaking heart could kid the moon.
What's in store? Should I phone once more?
No, it's best that I stick to my tune.
I get along without you very well,
Of course I do,Except perhaps in Spring,
But I should never think of Spring,
For that would surely break my heart in two.
I get along well without you..
Talk to me, cos you're still the best thing that's happened to me in medical school
Of course I do,

Guess it's quite close to what i'm doing now la..
You scored as Nursing/AthleticTraining. You should strongly consider majoring in Nursing, Athletic Training, or related majors (e.g. Chiropractic, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Radiologic Technology, Rehabilitation Services, Respiratory Therapy). A great nurse has an extremly caring and compassionate personality and great bedside manner. It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would--it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it. Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. Please post your results in your myspace/blog/journal.

I know I know...
sorry guys haven't really been updating this too much. Busy la, and havent had the little peace of mind to reflect back on the days just past.
2 months since my last update, and lots has happened.
Medicine SIP was a very different experience for me, cos for once i actually felt fully involved in the care of every patient under me, and had the chance to interact and bond with them. I derived satisfaction just by seeing them come in real sick and discharge a week later feeling much better.
It was during this time that i realised how important it is to find someone whose working style suits yours, cos in times of real stress the last thing you need is a colleague or a junior who you know is a liability and will not stand up to the test. I have to admit that i might not be the easiest person to work with, but i really hope that i will have nice colleagues and seniors to work with next time.
Speaking of bad seniors a certain Zeng Shi Ying somes to mind. This guy is notorious amongst all the students doing internship at TTSh, and amongst the housemen in his cohort. His amazing lack of professionalism, EQ, and his idea that all SIP students are his slaves pisses the hell out of ppl. Little wonder why he was Worst HO in NUH paeds and little wonder why no SIP student followed himon call until he personally hunted his SIP student down.
I also realised during SIP that i have a lot of idiosyncracies while working, mostly cos of my pride and arrogance. Like i will not take more than one plug set when asked to set a plug for a patoent, and i won't take a plaster either, simply because i give myself no room for error, so i will not need a plaster or another plug set. I have a habit of building up the patient's expectations of me, saying that i won't miss haha. And i use the most short cut way of taking blood cultures which we're supposed to use sterile iodine sets to clean the site. Instead, i use alcohol swabs. Fortunately the technique has worked so far.
I've had luck with my HOs, luckily i didn't get the unprofessional shit as my HO. My first team of HOs consisting Bangyu, Evelyn and Jiaying were an absolutely fun bunch to hang out with, then came Kim Chye, Kailing, and James who we enjoyed talking nonsense to and taking nice long tea breaks with haha. Tor and Carol were my HOs when we changed wards and they were very supportive and taught me a lot:)
Towards the end of SIP i was involved in m5 Playhouse. For those not in medicine this is an annual play competition where each medical year puts up a production. Chen Seong wrote and directed our play again this year, and it was a blast. It was hard to not put up a play reflecting back on the past when you're in yr 5, but chen seong wrote a play that presented the 5 years sublimely. Our cast was fantastic and given the fact that we only had 4 rehearsals and minimal props, our production was presented in a way that surpassed all expectations and brought the crowd thru a myriad of emotions. Laughter, nostalgia, and sense of hope for the future were all represented in that 45 min production. For our efforts we swept majority of individual awards like Best Director - Chen Seong, Best Actor - Mark, Best Supporting Actress - Van. And we got second overall too. Lost to the yr 3s, who put up a spectacular production filled with colour and had a huge cast too. So kudos to amanda for directing such a fantastic play.
